Welcome to Saw It On Hallmark, we are so pleased you have come for a visit.

Saw It On Hallmark was established in early January 2020 via Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram accounts. The site is owned and managed by Susan Courter (founder/editor of What Meghan Wore). Our philosophy for this site is to approach the endeavor with respect for all actors, directors, writers and others involved with Hallmark, Lifetime, Netflix, Amazon and GAC Family “Rom-Com” or “Hallmark” style movies. We strive to keep the focus on all aspects of the movies, including reviews, inside looks at the writers and directors behind the movies themselves. We also plan to focus on the actors and the charities they support. We will include coverage of some of the fashion and décor used in each of the movies avoiding tasteless topics and gossip designed only to draw an audience or clickbait.

WHY SAW IT ON HALLMARK? I’ve long been a fan of this genre. “Hallmark” or “Rom-Com” style movies have been around for some time and in recent years we’ve seen an uptick in the popularity and interest in these “feel-good” movies. There is now a yearly convention based on the large number of Christmas movies that are produced every year by each of the main “Christmas” networks which consist of Hallmark (the leader), Lifetime, Netflix and the newest addition in 2021, GAC Family.

LINKS: We do the best we can to provide links that take you to information retailers where you can purchase items scene in the movies, including décor and fashion. In some instances, those links to external sites may generate revenue; that money is used to pay photo licensing fees so we can continue to provide you with professional images here on the blog, as well as recurring monthly costs for site hosting, site security, and bandwidth overage fees. At times we may run sponsored content within a post; this will always be very clearly labeled as such so you know there has been financial compensation for that part of the post. The same goes for any items a retailer may provide in exchange for coverage of those items, such as a product review. We will always let you know if there has been any consideration or transaction related to editorial content.

PHOTOS: We will only use properly sourced Images in the blog, and images posted on social media by Hallmark or any other network and those producing the films or programming.  

COMMENTS: We welcome any and all viewpoints about the movies shown on any of the networks that we review or discuss on the blog, as long as they are not offensive or inflammatory. Healthy debate is a wonderful thing so long as it is conducted in an adult fashion; comments designed to incite, those containing vulgarities, personal attacks, and other inappropriate content will not be published. GUEST POSTS: We do not publish general guest posts or link insertions on the site. In very rare instances (a few times a year at most) we will run a partially sponsored post related to Hallmark/Lifetime/GAC Family movies or channels. With apologies in advance, if you email about guest posting and the topic doesn’t meet the criteria, we will not be able to respond to your email.

The site’s founder, Susan Courter, is a blogger, digital content manager and graphic designer. She worked more than 15 years in the financial services industry as a project manager. Susan also owns and runs the blog, What Meghan Wore, following the fashion trends and charitable endeavors of Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (formerly Meghan Markle). Susan has a strong background in design and graphic arts, accompanied by outstanding research skills.
